Folkswagon Terms & Conditions
We require a non-refundable deposit of £100 upon booking. Please contact us to arrange payment.
Full payment must be made at least 30 days before the date of the event. Bookings made with less than 30 days until the event will require full payment at the time of booking and is non-refundable. Failure to pay may result in cancellation.
If you wish to cancel, notification must be sent to us in writing no later than 30 days before the event, in which case, if you have paid in full, we will refund your payment, minus the £100 deposit. If you have paid in full and wish to cancel with less than 30 days’ notice, then we regret we are unable to offer you a refund.
The maximum number of passengers is 6.
We accept no responsibility for loss or damage to personal property whilst using Bert.
We operate a strict no smoking policy.
If you would prefer us not to take photos for use on our website or marketing, please let us know when you book.
In the event of breakages/spillages/body or panel damage to the van due to negligence by the hirer or the hirer's party, then the hirer is liable for all costs.
As Bert is 54 years old, rear seatbelts are not required by law. Passengers travel at their own risk. Children must be accompanied by an adult. If a child requires a booster seat or car seat please let us know at the time of booking so that we can let you know if we can accommodate this.
We reserve the right to cancel a booking.
We reserve the right to refuse entry to Bert to any person(s) we deem unfit for whatever reason and we reserve the right to refuse to continue the journey if any person(s) behave in a manner which may be detrimental to any other person or Bert and its contents. In this event, no refund will be given.
We regularly maintain Bert to the highest standard to ensure he is as reliable as possible. However, Bert is a 54 year old vehicle and sometimes the unforeseen can happen. We cannot take responsibility for unforeseen circumstances or conditions which may result in delay/cancellation/change of vehicle. This includes mechanical/electrical breakdown or adverse weather.
If Bert breaks down before the event, we will try our best to get him repaired immediately. If this is not possible we will transfer the hirer to another vehicle (not necessarily a vintage VW). We will cover any reasonable costs incurred. If we are unable to arrange alternative transport a full refund will be given, including the deposit.
Please ensure you fill out the booking form accurately, we will not be responsible for missed or delayed collection due to incorrect information provided.
Payment of the booking deposit confirms acceptance of these terms and conditions.
